STYLING THE BLAZER

The Blazer - is a must have key item for any woman's wardrobe. The versatility of this tailored jacket is the reason you see it everywhere in fashion. Its one of my top wardrobe items for any season, heavier fabrics for fall and winter, while lighter jackets are perfect for spring and summer. And not to forget the array of fun colors and prints they come in.

I love blazers and have them in many different styles and colors, my favorite way to style it would have to be jeans, t-shirt (plain or graphic), and a heel. ( Casual and comfy but still about my business)

I laid out a quick glimpse into ways to style this key item from dress to lounge. The key to pulling off these looks is to be comfortable and confident, by comfortable I mean some styles requires layering, so making sure you have an oversized blazer and not form fitting is important. ( when shopping for this style blazer look for key words like "Oversized" or "Boxy") If your under shirt/dress is fitted or sleeveless you can choose to go with an oversized or a more tailored style blazer.

Throwing a blazer over a matching set (pants or shorts) will always elevate the style and matching sets are very popular right now making finding one that works for you and your style very simple. Looks great with a nice pump.

The slip dress is another one of my favs, simple yet super sexy. Its a statement alone but if you want to add a jacket to style it up I tend to go for a tailored blazer with a rolled or gathered. sleeve. Style with a strappy heel.

*Style it further with a cute fashion belt

LOUNGING BUT STILL ABOUT THAT BUSINESS!

Pairing lounge or everyday items with a blazer allows you to look fashionable when done right. This is also called the "High - Low Mix" mixing something formal (blazer) with something casual (tee, sweats, jeans) This style goes great with boxy or oversized blazers for a more fashionable look and comfort.

My go to blazer style: baggy jeans and a tee. This lounge style looks great with just about any jean but style with an oversized blazer, heels or sneakers.

Mixing athleisure with the blazer has become the go to for high - low mix styles. Its the perfect style if you want to be comfortable but look fashionable. I like this look with sneaker but also pairs well with a simple heel.
